Jennings book event prep: Catch-up open thread

This will be our last open thread over Jennings’ book before our week-long symposium centered on the discussion of topical posts. In addition to allowing readers some breathing room to catch up, this is a good opportunity to bring up broader concerns or questions that did not fit comfortably into the discussion of any particular section of the text.
